I recently found out about a blog titled Smirking Mitt Walking Away from Stuff. The title explains it all: photographs of significant events, with the image of Mitt Romney, smirking as he walks away from reporters after accusing President Obama of "sympathizing" with the people who murdered our Ambassador in Benghazi, pasted onto them. So now we have Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away From: our troops, firehosing of civil-rights demonstrators in Alabama, his own Bain Capital record, demonstrations in Libya, etc.

So I figured I'd add a few of my own, but take it in a somewhat different direction. Below the cut, I give you Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from Issues Depicted in Modern Art...

Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from fascist aggression:

Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from more fascist aggression:

Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from the destruction of our environment:

Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from the reality of war:

Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from the Occupy protests:

Smirking Mitt Romney not seeing the violence inherent in the system:

And finally...
Smirking Mitt Romney Walking Away from his party's attitude toward women:

I tried to submit my work to the Smirking Mitt site, but I can't find an email address for submissions. If any of you have any ideas of your own, you can either post them in comments, or make your own "Smirking Mitt" post. Fun for the whole family!

That is funny! My husband keeps crowing about how Romney is dropping in the polls, and about the latest thing Romney has done to stick his foot in his mouth. I certainly hope that moderates are running screaming from him, but honestly the core group who like him, and going to stay with him no matter what he does. Are there really any "undecided" people in the upcoming pres election?

Enough to make the polls rather confusing, especially when you try to guess the electoral vote spread. Some polls have Obama winning there, others have neither party getting the required 270 (though Obama still has more than Romney).

Wow, Kim Jong Il looking disapprovingly at just about everything, except the pastries...and maybe Putin.

I LOVE it! I especially like Guernica - but I think you should redo Romney in black and white (greyscale).

Nah, Romney is grey enough already.

The thing I wish Romney would most walk away from? This election!

Some in the GOP say he's doing that too. I hope they're right. (And Jay Leno suggested an Obama campaign ad saying "Mitt Romney doesn't want to be President!")
